Super J Rocker Skool Grrl Desk, 2003, Mixed Media on Desk, 32"x29"x24"

When we got the phone call from Norcal Sanitary Fill for an interview, Nicole and I were excited. She thought it would be fun to do our interviews in recycled school desks. Nicole had a pair of red and black school girl shorts that she cut up and collaged to the back part of the desks. The school girl uniform set the tone for our desks: rocker chicks from the 80's. I decided to paint cartoons on the tops of the desks, one desk representing Nicole's personality at that time and the other represented my personality at the time.
