ARTISTS STATEMENT

"PERROS SAGRADOS Y SUS CHAMANES is a contemporary mythology of a masked woman who protests shame and guilt and begins the process of  conflict resolution. By blending Meso-American symbols, ie, xoloitzcuintles, a Mexican breed who were once guides into the afterlife,  and legends from my Catholic upbringing, this exhibit redefines spiritual art. "
