ENROLLMENT HAPPENING NOW!
Maestra Isis Rodriguez is a dynamic art teacher who incorporates both classical methods, ie "risparmio", Italian meaning, "sparingly" dating back 500 years and modern art school practices. Isis has taught drawing and painting for 20 years as an art professor in several institutions, ie Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende, and adult after work programs such as Art With Elders & San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in San Francisco, working with both hobbyist and professional artists. Using each student’s nature, she is able to help them find their unique style while giving them the confidence and skill to improve and continue on their personal works of art. Because Isis has been an exhibition artist all her life, she also has hands on experience on how to survive the modern art world. All levels are welcomed. Click here for examples of student work.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
HOW MANY STUDENTS? If you think that the number of students will effect the quality of your education, no worries. My demonstrations are easy to understand and efficient. However, I prefer more boutique classes between 6-8.
DO YOU GIVE PRIVATE CLASSES? Sometimes. But I have found that private one on one classes don't really improve the works of a student. Being in a class with others who are in the same boat as you, bridges long lasting friendships, which is a healthy way of being an artist and the entire class shows dramatic results.
CAN I COME WATCH A CLASS? When someone watches, it makes my students self conscious, interrupting their ability to focus. You can arrange to take a 1 Day Class for only $65.00usd.
CAN I BRING MY OWN SUPPLIES? Yes. However, Mexican customs at the airport and the border have been known to confiscate art supplies from time to time. More importantly, students end up bringing the wrong supplies that don't work for the various art school methods I use. Most of my classes supply materials and they are professional grade and updated.
I ONLY WANT TO DRAW FROM MODELS. CAN I TAKE A CLASS WITH MODELS? In my 20 years of teaching, I have not seen great improvement from students just drawing from a model. Those students who are open to a combination of models, photos, mirrors, & props have much better results and satisfying education.
