TRUE OR FALSE?
1. I am a beginner and you are too advance for me.
False.
Five hundred years ago, all beginners began painting in an atelier (the art studio) with a great master painter because that was the only way to learn simple skills.
2. Acrylic paints are easier, better and less toxic than oils because they are water based.
False.
Acrylics dry too fast making it hard to mix colors. You will never achieve the same infinite amount of colors nor light and shadow with acrylic.
Oils have been tested and proved for over 500 years. The evidence of oil paintings withstanding the test of time is proven in museums around the world.
Oils, mediums and their solvents are not as toxic as you think. Most are made of organic materials from nature and turpentine is made from pine. Most solvents are odorless, and I will teach you the correct way to dispose them that will not harm the environment.
I do NOT teach acrylics. I teach only oils and watercolors.
