DESCRIPTION: It depicts a xoloitzcuintle "cachorro", which means "puppy" in Spanish. 500 years ago, the xoloitzcuintle was used in funerary rituals and were considered sacred. The artist was inspired by the Praying Hands of Jesus sculptures to redefine Indigenous practices 500 years ago.
